ProEx Food, LCC Grows its Staff

[MILWAUKEE, WI, November 13, 2019] – ProEx Food, LLC is pleased to announce the Milwaukee HQ additions of John Swanson as the Customer Solutions Manager and Nick Maglio as the Director of Marketing to support overall business, spread awareness of the company’s innovative products and solutions and to increase responsiveness to its food processing and packaging customers’ needs.  This staffing move is due to rapid growth in its Integrated Automation Solution business out of the company’s US/Global Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI and European HQ in Düsseldorf, Germany.

As more global food processing and packaging operators realize both the need and the value in automating their operations, inquiries, requests for quotes and orders at ProEx Food, LLC have ramped up.  This has resulted in a need to scale up operations and ensure customers are aware of the solutions available while having queries responded to quickly so the operators can make timely decisions to address labor and safety needs.  Ross Lund, CEO at ProEx Food, LCC said, “The lack of labor in the marketplace is putting a strain on our customers’ ability to grow their business and we want to make sure we can deliver solutions for them as soon as possible.  This way, our customers can quickly realize their return on their investment.”

Beyond response time, the equipment and technology in food processing and packaging has progressed to include advances in automation, including robotics and integrated control systems.  Both informal inquiries and full solution engineering requests have come in fast as customers look for integrators to implement products, processes and equipment enhancements.  Dan Ghadiri, CTO at ProEx Food, LCC explained: “People aren’t always aware of the automation advances in fruit and vegetable processing.  As they hear about us, we are often consulted to determine the right technology and equipment application for that customer’s need.  We expect global interest in this space to pick up briskly.”

Responding to ProEx Food, LCC customers promptly has become a challenge as business ramps up.  Customer requests span not only individual equipment, but also the impact on labor and food safety.  This is John Swanson’s specialty: “I have 40 years of experience in lean plant and operational management from GE Healthcare and Appliances to Hughes Equipment and now here at ProEx Food, LLC.  When a customer asks us to quote a solution, I look at it from their perspective and use that POV during the proposal process to be consultative.”

While the inquiries, quotes and orders are ramping up, ProEx Food, LCC believes there are both efficiencies to be created in explaining their solutions and opportunity to spread awareness in the market.  Per Nick Maglio: “People have a tendency to hear the words automation, integration and technology and immediately assume the conversation is around software.  When you start to tell our customers the story of where food production technology has gone, and how we can help their operations, they are often stunned and want to hear more.  Our goal is to ensure the market is aware of the ways the solutions have advanced and how these enhancements will help address pressing market needs.”
